Walking in Lumpini Park (Lumphini Park), Bangkok : Oasis in a busy city [สวนลุมพินีกรุงเทพฯ] - YouTube Korea Road Tour

I walked in Lumpini Park (Lumphini Park) one day in the morning. The park has much green space. I think it is help to purify the polluted air in Bangkok. Originally, the land of Lumpini Park was a private property owned by Rama VI, who was the king of Thailand. He turned it into a space where citizens can rest. So at the entrance of the park there is a statue of Rama VI. Public transportation makes it easy to get to the main gate. You can get off at Si Lom station (MRT) or Sala Daeng (BTS) station. (MRT is more closer to the main gate.) The symbol of Lumpini Park is the King Lizard. The length of the body is usually 1 to 3 meters. Fortunately, last year the government has taken a big catch and now only small lizards are left. But you still have to be careful with them. Because of the nature of the weather in Thailand, it is really hard to get around in the daytime, so foreign tourists travel mainly in the morning or late afternoon. I went to Lumpini Park in the morning during the week and I did not see many locals. I guess there are a lot of people who go to work in the morning.
