Microsoft Surface Book Unboxing http://www.mobilegeeks.com The Surface Book is the first notebook Microsoft has ever made, taking it out of the box you've got the 2 in 1 notebook, a pen with capable of delivering 1024 levels of sensitivity, a quick start guide and a psu that's got a usb port if you want to plug something in to charge. The Surface Book is definitely not a MacBook clone. Made of a sturdy magnesium, the light silver, squared-off chassis looks like a svelte tank from the side. The hynge is one of the most interesting features as it expands outward increases the surface area of the base. If you want a powerful tablet that can double as a notebook with a touchscsreen that won't fall over you'll need a heavy base. A typical thin and light notebook's battery is 50Watt Hour, the Surface Book has a 70 watt hour battery, which extends your battery life while making the base heavier, the unique design is win win. Taking a look around the system we've got a full size SD card slot, 2 USD 3.0 and on the right hand side a magnetic charging port. There are several varieties available I've gone with the Core i7, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD, you have options from 128GB to 1TB, i5 or i7 and 8 or 16GB of RAM. Taking it out of the box the battery way too low to detach the tablet, but it does come apart and including the pen makes this a machine for designers. I'm after it for video editing which is why I picked up the version with a Core i7 processor 8GB or RAM and an Nvidia descrete graphics card. This is what I'm going to be focusing on when I do my full review. So far in the few hours I've had it, the keyboard is a dream to type on and the 3000 x 2000 squarish resolution of the display makes it feel way bigger than a regular 13.3 inch notebook. I'll be posting a week with the Surface Book, leave me questions below and I'll include them in the review. I'm your host Nicole Scott for Mobile Geeks.
