  2. Brian Arbenz: We have the freedom to think and postulate about our place in the universe precisely because we do not know, yet. And isn’t it wonderful that we try to answer this question by reason and scientific hypotheses, instead of supposing elephants on a turtle’s back etc. That we have parted with myth and begun testing our theories is a positive and commendable thing.
  3. A Hitler: aliens so dumb to not discover radio waves. Other kinds of electromagnetic radiation, including radio waves, are made by natural processes such as the nuclear reactions in a star. how in the hell can they colonize the galaxy if they don't know a simple signal "radio waves" or the use of it
  4. A Person: There have been aliens here on earth for thousands of years! There are many species here now globally. Most humans are to stupid to know what's going on. Sheeple.
  5. Brian Arbenz: “to stupid?”
  6. fani partsafyllidou: Thank you for sharing these interesting theories with us in such a clear way. Have a good day! Greetings from Greece
  7. Dan Allen: Your videos should get a lot more views than they do. I know you put a lot of time and effort into them. Great job.
  8. Dan Allen: +LondonCityGirl – Knowledge Any time :) Keep up the good work!!!
  9. LondonCityGirl – Knowledge: Thanks Dan - I really appreciate you leaving this comment :D It is a lot of work so it means a lot when my subscribers recognise that and support the channel :D
  10. Tarang Patil: 0:01 Maybe they are at some party. I didnt got invited either
  11. LondonCityGirl – Knowledge: 😂
  12. jo smith: But trump supporters think that their shitty god made the Earth.
  13. Brian Arbenz: I agree with your view, but I say leave the t word out of this. We’re discussing something beyond the here and now’s vulgar limits.
  14. K B: I'm pretty sure Trump's God is money. Was that your point? Or are you one of those "my religion is better than your religion" people? If it's the latter then you too are part of the problem.
  15. zodiacfml: 9:16 onwards. these are great ideas for people kept looking for aliens. I've been preaching these ideas on the internet that to me, it is not worth spending money/time to contact aliens. 11:36 though weakened the previously mentioned ideas. I don't like this idea as it brings back the old philosophy of humans being the center of everything.
  16. Malcolm Scott: It seems that the problem with the Paradox is that there are too many plausible Solutions. This only highlights our lack of knowledge about the state of play with regards to our place in the universe. Although interesting conjecture it appears that the Paradox is a long way from being solved
  17. Muhamad Afiq Syafiq Matsari: I don't get why most, if not all, theories posit that aliens MUST be sufficiently advanced (if not more than us) to the point that we can detect them. Why can't we just consider the possibility that we're the most advanced species in the universe or at least in our local group?
  18. Ian Clarke: Faster than the speed of light ? I thought according to Einstein that isn't possible ?
  19. Tim Beaton: +LondonCityGirl – Knowledge Er, there is always a problem here...special relativity says effectively that you can't travel THROUGH space at greater than C. But it says nothing about moving WITH space itself.  To anyone confused about this, look up Comoving Distance versus Proper Distance. Or wait for London CityGirl's video!
  20. Ian Clarke: +zodiacfml isn't the universe amazing, thanks again
  21. zodiacfml: +Ian Clarke yes on the trains. i actually use a similar concept to understand the speed of light coming from a fast moving object. The greater than speed of light rate of distance happens at longer distances, not between our galaxy and andromeda. It is not a head on collision but you have a point that this is not greater than the speed of the expansion of the universe. However, personally, this seemingly expansion of the universe may not be close to the truth as scientists cant agree on the exact rate of expansion and there is something amiss.
  22. Ian Clarke: +zodiacfml right thanks for replying , like 2 trains moving away in the opposite direction will be twice the speed although they are still moving at the same speed ?.So are we travelling towards andromeda faster than the speed of light because andromeda is heading in our direction or are both travelling in a direction that will eventually collide but not directly head on towards each other ??? Dazed and Confused , as they say.
  23. zodiacfml: That was just poor choice of words. Imagine the space between millimeter lines on a ruler expanding at 1 millimeter going away from each other (expansion of the universe). The rate is 1mm per second but if we measure the rate of change of distance from one end of the ruler to the other end, it will be a lot higher. It will appear that the distance end to end is increasing so fast ( that it appears faster than the speed of light) but in reality only the space between objects are increasing
  24. M K: Amazing video!
  25. theShowman: Very interesting. For me the zoo hypothesis seems the most likely. Unlike colonies on Earth that invade and exploit other territories, I firmly believe that advanced civilizations will have achieved a high ethical stance and will be treating us as something to be allowed to develop in it's natural habitat (i.e. the Earth) without interference. I don't believe in ufos, their advanced technologies would enable them to observe (even at close quarters) without being detected (a bit like a Startrek 'subspace'). Travel will not be a problem as they will have the ability to 'fold space' (travelling without moving - Dune). And why not, we are still just scratching the surface of the physical universe, quantum physics is already blowing our minds on the nature of reality. 'They' are here, right now observing our strange, primitive ways, perhaps reminding themselves of their own history and some have a very interesting and important thesis to write !
  26. good robot: High ethical stance? ya know there doesn't seem to be absolute morality, just an objective morality in our specis right
