Microsoft HoloLens Giving Fallout 76 a Fair Shake (Or Not)

Fallout 76 is an upcoming Online Only Sandbox Base Building Survival FPS RPG for PC, PS4, and Xbox One by Bethesda Game Studios.

This game has been pretty controversial since it was announced, mostly due to the “Online Only” aspect of it. Some say it's a Rust/ARK/DayZ clone, some say it's the death of Single Player RPGs as we know them, some say Bethesda has sold out. In this video I go over my thoughts on the issue, how I felt at E3, and more importantly, why regardless of how good or bad Fallout 76 is, why you should give it a fair shake.

Since recording the audio, I've found out that the map will play host to 24-32 players, so adjust the maths in the video accordingly.

2. Purgatori Sakkara: I was willing to give the game a fair shake until they confirmed that there wouldn't be any NPC's. Even looter-shooter pseudo-RPG's like Destiny and Borderlands have NPC's.
3. Diego2112Gaming: Thank you kindly for the sub, and the comment! Aye, it's certain I am (and have been) this isn't a mainline/tentpole title, it's a spin-off, like New Vegas was. Only, ya know, no Chris Avellone. I thought Fallout 4 was disappointing at *first*. Stay tuned for a future video exploring why ultimately it's a good (or even great) game, and possibly even a better Fallout game than Fallout 3!
4. Diego2112Gaming: For some reason, this comment didn't show up in my notifications. My revised opinion, thanks to some things Uncle Pete has said, is basically I'm waiting until it's out and we see exactly how private servers and mods work, because I'm not really interested in having to pay Bethesda a monthly fee for a server just so I can host mods.
5. LTS Gaming: At first I had the same inclination that online multiplayer was a bad direction. However, my buddy mentioned something. They are probably calling it Fallout 76" because it's not supposed to be Fallout 5. It may just be a spinoff to tide us over until the next "true" installment. I agree that Fallout 4 was a disappointment. The dialogue options were weak and the voice protagonist was a mistake.

I should point out though, my revised opinion is to hold off buying until after release, and after we see how private servers and mods will work. They've backpedaled on some things since this video was made, and I'm less inclined to suggest people go out and snag it. I really should do an updated video on it. Maybe this weekend when I've the time.
